About

I grew up in North Carolina, was educated at Duke University (BA) and Bard College, New York (MFA in painting). I’ve been painting and exhibiting my work throughout my adult life; to help support myself and my family, I’ve also worked as a teacher, an editor and a writer of instructional materials for teaching high school science. I’ve lived mainly in three places in my life: Durham, North Carolina; Austin, Texas, and since 2000, in Germany, in Berlin since 2007.
